Kismet in Munich

It's a shame, I have the impression that an attempt is being made to represent something that one is not. When I think back to my last visits, I notice that I haven't seen the actual cook (red hair) here for a long time. I liked the quality of the food she prepared more. Has something happened? Is she still working here or elsewhere? I really miss her commitment very much.

Super tasty, priced around 16 euros per main course. But what doesn't work at all is the Corona hygiene concept. Was there 2 times before Corona and after and there is no difference! No distance not less people. I felt very uncomfortable.

I had the black eyed peas tajin and it was amazing!!

The food is really very good and unusual. The quality is right and the cocktails were very tasty and there were also some unusual creations. What we didn't like that much was that it was really, really loud. We sat in the back of the restaurant, the atmosphere is really nice but the room is very large and open and without any equipment that could dampen the sound level. Service was okay friendly. What I personally don't think is that great, the table water for € 6.50 is too much, it doesn't have to be. All in all, it is definitely worth a visit!

A great place with very good food and unusual drinks. The service is very friendly and explains the menu. I can only recommend this restaurant and my favorite in Munich.

The food was okay. It was not hot enough even when it was in mud pot. Taste wise good. Not so impressive

Great cocktails with an oriental taste. Very good starter made of beetroot, gozleme with spinach and goat cheese and carrot salad. Nice service. Food sometimes lacks spices. Dipping in two small, intense sauces could help a lot.

Nice atmosphere, great service, delicious food and the prices are right. Servings are sufficient and fresh. Everything was very clean and accommodating. Have been there twice so far and will definitely be back.

Definitely a great place to have a delicious dinner! I love to go there as a group because you literally want to try everything that is on the menu. Kismet is in a quiet area in downtown Munich which makes super accessible but almost a secret place at the same time. I love that their windows are sliding doors that can be opened completely which creates an extra open atmosphere even if you sit inside. Recommendation for colder temperature: Reserve a table in the back of the restaurant!

We were very happy to visit the restaurant, unfortunately we were served unfriendly by the older blond service staff. We were simply put the aperitif of the house on the table without any explanation of what drink it was. The table we received outside was infested with beetles. It would have been more attentive if we had been advised of this, instead of giving the reason, "that's the way it is in nature". The main course was also put in front of us, without any explanation, since it was an oriental dish we do not know what ingredients are available. Very nice restaurant, but the focus was not on hospitality. Too bad we won't go there a second time

Good food, the restaurant only offers vegetarian food (possibly vegan). A reservation is an advantage. The food was very tasty, several starters are enough to fill you up!

Very courteous, friendly service and nice atmosphere. The choice of dishes was complex and sufficient. Very good taste and delicious. Also nicely arranged. Would love to come back.

Come for the cocktails. They’re one of a kind. Especially the Oriental Express with raspberry foam. ?? The flatbread dishes are also pretty good. Not many places serve things like this in Munich.

Delicious and the staff is very very friendly. I can recommend it to everyone. My favorite dish is the Baronuen

Super nice location, bigger than initially thought. Very friendly helpful staff who are happy to advise you on the choice of dishes. Very delicious cocktails and super delicious dishes! As a little "shortcoming" it is a bit dark, which took some getting used to at the beginning.

Friendly service - something that you don’t get too often in Munich. As for the food it was good but not good enough for the money we paid. Still a nice place for a special evening as well as a casual dinner.

The place looks fancy, some corners are quite nice and suggestive, some other tables ruin the mood. The tea and drinks were nice. The food didn't taste at all. Like, zero taste. I can't even say it was bad. Not sure if it was just an unlucky combination, we did order more dishes but none had anything special. The location is very central and attractive, maybe worth to stop by for a drink and a chat with a friend, but I would not recommend to plan having a dinner or spend there lot of time.

A bit too dark. Not sure this candle things is more ecological than few normal lamps. The food was good. Friendly service. I don't think they deserve 5 but also not 4. I would say 4 and half. All was ok but I am not sure I felt like I must go back there.

Always a good idea!!! The seasonal menu is always good for new fine culinary surprises !!! The cocktails are also excellent! The atmosphere is perfect for the (1st) date with the ❤️ !!! I always like to come back and am thrilled every time !!!

We ordered a number of starters to share ( advise by the waiter) and this was a great choice. The service was friendly and competent and prices ok.

The food was very good, super options for vegetarians and vegans of course. Chickpeas mousse, eggplant with garlic and gözleme with thyme paste and sesame seeds were delicious. We also ate different curries which were very good too. The cocktail are a bit pricey since they’re 10 eur per cocktail, but that didn’t stopped us :) Everything was pretty amazing but the service is awful. Seriously if you don’t speak german...We were treated awful!! For this kind of restaurant I think they should be much nicer. Very very disappointing.

Had a great experience here!! We ordered a main meal and a starter, and this was plenty for two people!! The venue is lovely, and though the price was on the expensive side it was definitely worth the cost!!

Lovely place.. Wonderful ambience and great food. Reasonably priced as well. Please note that the quantities are massive :) we ordered 1 starter and a main dish and the main one alone would have filled the two of us up... :)

Somewhat quieter, very nice restaurant with small selection of food, but with very good taste for food and drinks. Attention, meat dishes are in vain, but you do not need to constantly, right? :-)

Overpriced cheap food, cooked like junk food and served like a slow restaurant, at least the beer was good.

Vegetarian menu but do not let that deter you.5of us ate there 2 non veggie and we all had food envy. It was one of the best meals I had in years.We were disappointed to find they were closed on Sundays as we were going to return.

Friendly staff, well priced, and cosy atmosphere. Good food and excellent drinks selection. The food was excellent. Perfect for my palate. A mixture of Indian, Moroccan and Turkish. Lots of bread dipping potential. We ordered the Thali and a chick pea Tagine. Portions we ample.

Read a review on Condé Nast Traveller & booked without realising it was a vegetarian/vegan restaurant. It was refreshing after eating too many sausages & meat in Munich!!! Staff was very friendly & warm! Ambiance was very romantic & perfect! I loved the music. We had wine, mezze, thali & dessert! The food was delicious! Service was fabulous! We thoroughly enjoyed! Highly recommended!

Unexpected find. But loved it and will be back! Only vegetarian and vegan options available, and they do accept cards now. A must try is their housemade iced tea - so pretty and so so tasty. The carrot dip was really appetizing and flavourful. Went well with the eggplant dip that we also ordered. Overall, a very good experience.
